An exceptional Welsh cob, with fantastic movement and producing all round cobs that can successfully perform in every discipline. The most wonderful thing about Dragon is his pony character.
Sydenham Dragon stood nearly 14.3hh with 8.5 inches of bone, 4 white socks and very close to the original description of a Welsh Cob. He had a wonderful temperament and fantastic with visiting mares and foals, he had many admirers in the welsh cob world.
He was successful in his showing career in hand as a youngster and was trained under saddle by Tracey Bertorelli BSHII.
He produced an Olympia HOYS qualifier and Royal Welsh champion and his stock are winning at local and County shows in hand as well as under saddle. He produced excellent jumping cobs with a good roundness to their jump, and all his stock can gallop. His stock also excel in dressage and are generally good all rounders, including hunting etc.
Movement is very important in a Welsh cob and Dragon certainly produced the correct movement which is totally natural, and which he passed on to his stock. He produces wonderfully well balanced cobs, and has produced a stunning part-bred.
He thoroughly enjoyed his life with his mares and lived out all year round, proving his hardiness as a Welsh cob.
